Ucon Party Review

We didn’t expect that so many people show up. Almost 400 people came from all over europe to our annual Ucon party. The meat for the barbeque was sold out within the first hour, but still a lot of salad was available for the ones which were late and hungry. Later we had a photo wall where we cut out the faces of the Ucon Teamriders and every guest could be Ucon teamrider – at least for a photo. The real fun part was when we made a little competition were you could win some Clip DVDs. The Ucon Teamriders Jon, Jona, Eric and Jochen had to place their faces behind the holes in the wall and our guests tried to hit them with marshmellows. The not so funny part was, that the marshmellows we bought were super cheap and hard as stones!
The premiere of “Hey Dude 2” was really cool and everyone was crying out loud. Many non-rollerblading guests where stocked about what our sport is all about and hopefully buy some skates soon. Props to Basti Beheim and his team! All of you which didn’t have the chance to come to our party, go and buy “Hey Dude 2” – it should be in the stores soon.
When it came to the fashion show Jochen prepared a small speech and thought it would be a good idea to use his little megaphone for it, but I guess Jochen was the only person who understood what he said – the crowed and music was just too loud. Specially after the hot Ucon models entered the catwalk, Alex Broskow didn’t manage to keep his mouth closed. We even had some special effects in the fashion show. Suddenly Jochen was flying onto the stage with a hudge jump. Behind the walls we positioned a hidden trampoline. Then somehow the fashion show ended with a strip show (unluckily only of the male models).
After that we opened a small show room in the basement of the theater. There people could have had a closer look on the new Ucon products and also buy some things. Meanwhile the party went totally crazy. DJ Crypt and DJ Smart played one hit after the other. Seriously it was difficult to keep away from the dancefloor. Almost everyone was dancing! Make sure you check the photos otherwise you don’t believe it. I hoped that we can shut down the party a bit earlier cause everyone was powered out or too drunk to party, but it was not before 5 in the moring when Jon Julio and his friends left the dancefloor. Luckily we still found some people who helped us to clean the theater. Nothing was broke (except some glass) and nobody was hurt (except some punshes) even we had more guests then last year. On our last years party the club has to close its doors as the it was damaged seriously by the Ucon party crowed.
